Spend Policies & Receipt Collection

Spend policies control what supplemental information must be collected for transactions after they occur. Spend Restrictions block unauthorized spend from happening in the first place.

Create a Policy

Policies can be created a https://app.givefront.com/policies/create under the policies tab on the sidebar. A policy can specify when a transaction requires a receipt and when a transaction requires a memo. Policies can require receipts and memos for all transactions, or only for transactions over a certain dollar amount.

Assign Policy to Cards and Budgets

After creating a policy, it can be assigned to budgets and cards. If a card has a policy attached, all purchases made using the card will be subject to the card's policy requirements.

Collect Receipts and Memos Via Text Messages

When a user makes a purchase, they will receive a text message if the purchase has policy requirements. Replying with an image to this text message will attach the image as a receipt upload to the transaction. Replying with a message will attach the message as a memo to the transaction.
